Big fan of Fujiko abstractly dancing in a void of playboy nudes and then doing a sick jump with her motorcycle

Anime Marches On! 2019
Pre-1970’s (1/1)
Lupin The 3rd has arrived.
Funky jazz and old school animation smoothly introduce the Lupin gang and general plot of the series to us in about 10 minutes.
Everyone’s accounted for, even some old timer detective who I frankly don’t recall ever being in the series. It’s definitely OG Lupin (even though OG is Green Jacket and it’s Red here). Goemon is after Lupin’s life and everyone has a much more Monkey Punch (creator) design to them.
It’s funny to me that the original series incorporated scenes from this into the opening credits. Saves on animation.
Not necessary for newcomers, but a fun treat for fans. Lupin has endured since the 60’s and he’s not slowing down anytime soon.

Series: Lupin the Third Ranked
For a Pilot movie, the 13 minute Lupin the Third adventure is exceptional. It does everything a Pilot should. It introduces all of the characters in an interesting way, is able to give all of them at least some sort of spotlight, and has its own self contained scenario that is engaging in its own right.
VERY excited to finally dive into the Lupin the Third franchise. Dozens and Dozens of movies and many series. YEEHAW.

Ani-MAY Marches on 2019: 1 of 1 Pre-1970's Anime
It's a decent enough set-up for a future tv show. There's plenty of elements that I would enjoy: jazz, a sexy femme fatale, bumbling cops, explosions, people getting squashed by chandeliers, a samurai, a dude who carries a six-shooter, nudity, and plenty of (seemingly bloodless) violence. But the animation is kind of ugly and this is just an intro to get the viewer used to the world this takes place in. So not much of a story or anything. But like I said, it did make me interested in following up with other Lupin anime. Hopefully they look a little nicer than this one does, especially the design of the actual Lupin character.

The 2018 Cult Movie Challenge
Week 3: Anime WeekDecided I need a Lupin the Third refresher since it's been forever and I'll soon be watching two of his films as part of the Anime Marches On! challenge, so I checked out this, a 13-minute short film produced to pitch a possible Lupin television series (which did eventually air).
This pilot is absolutely, definitely a pitch, with anything resembling a storyline taking a backseat to the narrator very directly spelling out just what the appeal of the characters would be for potential viewers, in case some oblivious television executive in the boardroom just wasn't quite getting it.
In spite of that, the Lupin III Pilot Film from 1969 is a…

I recently watched Lupin the Third: Pilot Film (1969) on a random streaming service. The storyline follows Lupin the III and his gang as they engage in a series of mischievous activities that catch the attention of a local inspector who tirelessly pursues them. Additionally, a vengeful samurai is on their trail. Can Lupin and his gang evade the inspector and outwit the samurai?
This series is co-directed by Osamu Kobayashi (Gadguard) and Masaaki Ôsumi (Mumin). After watching this picture, this series is an absolute must-see. It exudes a 60s Boris and Natasha vibe in many ways, featuring cool characters, engaging dialogue, a fair share of violence, and occasional nudity. It offers everything you'd desire in an entertaining series that I'm excited to continue watching. Lupin the Third: Pilot Film is outstanding and an absolute must-see. I would rate this 9.5/10 and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Oh Osumi—where are your fans now? They're scattered, adrift in a sea of anime aficionados either championing Studio Ghibli or praising the likes of Masaaki Yuasa. It's a black-and-white world for people like me. So, to be grey for a change, I've delved into the depths of anime, a category harboring independent fascinations and the occasional odd project that really ought to have a following.
I'll vouch for the Lupin III Pilot Film as that seagull lost in the pack.
More than a few people have seen this half-half-hour ditty. But I think what's here has gone under-appreciated even by franchise fans. There are reasons why a long-time Lupin geek could refrain from giving this one a go. The character…

Questo fantomatico "pilota" altro non è che una clip molto grezza il cui unico obbiettivo è presentare i personaggi principali della serie con un breve riassunto delle loro caratteristiche.
Lupin ruba
Jigen spara
Goemon taglia
Fujiko tette
Zenigata insegue.Una simpatica curiosità,nulla di più.
