Blacksmithing pairs excellently with Mining and Jewelcrafting, as they all utilize ore to create the majority of their crafts. This guide will give you the best route to quickly level up your Blacksmithing profession, showing you the recommended crafts and necessary materials per level.

How To Level Classic Jewelcrafting

Leveling Classic professions can be quite tedious, owing to high time and gold investment. Prices of your required materials will vary per server, but you should be able to blast through the majority of crafts without needing to collect your own resources.

Mining will be the best profession for farming these reagents yourself, but it is not strictly necessary. What is vital, however, is that you have purchased a Blacksmith's Hammer, and keep it with you in your inventory, as it will allow you to create items.

How To Level The Burning Crusade Jewelcrafting

TBC Blacksmithing is much more straightforward, and mainly requires the use of two types of Bar. If you are on a small server, the supply of both Fel Iron and Adamantitie can begin to dry up, so you may want to either farm your own, or level the profession more slowly.

How To Level Wrath Of The Lich King Jewelcrafting

Once you reach level 350 Blacksmithing, you can begin to create useful and relevant items for your characters. Depending on your level, the beginner armor and weapons can be a sizable upgrade, and can give you a nice boost in entering WotLK content.

Again, you are mainly on the hunt for both Cobalt and Saronite bars, and only really need to consider other resources at higher levels.

• Socket Gloves
• Socket Bracers

These three crafts will provide you with extra gem sockets for a certain piece of gear, with the Gloves and Bracers being limited to Blacksmiths only. This is a great way of gaining additional stats, and you always should be looking to craft this onto your gear.

The highest Blacksmithing levels will let you create Epic items, and some of these are especially powerful. The Epic Helms such as Spiked Titansteel Helm are the pre-raid best in slot for some classes, and you may find yourself being able to turn a great profit from making them. They will require rare resources such as Titansteel Bars, (created by Alchemists) but the earlier on you can start producing them, the better your chance of generating gold.
